Commercial information
What requirements do I have to meet to participate in the new Xelon Whitelabeling Program?
The only requirements for this are that the customer registers as a 'VCSP Registered tier' under the 'Broadcom Advantage Program Partner' and that reporting is done through Xelon. Customers can register through https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeBJqIbIqosW79z8RW4HBZle1H6O-YKKUsKw7pje_q9GHbLcw/viewform.
What is the difference between Committed Cores and On-Demand (Overage) Cores?
Is there a minimum number of CPU Cores that I have to license per CPU?
How does the support work?
How is April reported/licensed?
A mandatory upgrade to Usage Meter 4.8 is required by April 1. From April through May, you can use your contracted quota as normal. We will continue to accept data from all Usage Meter instances, regardless of whether the contract has expired (with the exception of versions prior to 4.4). In May, if you have a contract with a white label Primary VCSP, your contracted core volume with the Primary VCSP will be backdated to April usage (this is part of the Primary VCSP's overall commitment to Broadcom, for which they are responsible). The backdated usage has no overage and is based only on your future usage rate. Your primary provider will implement their own instance of Usage Meter as early as possible.
Do I have to purchase a minimum number of CPU cores?
Which hosts need to be licensed?
With vSAN, does the total available storage or the used storage have to be licensed?
What about the licenses for vROPS, NSX, vCenter, etc. can they all still be used as before? Or are additional licenses required here?
