Xelon provides stable, flexible and scalable IT infrastructures for Ruhoff-Informatik GmbH, based in Härkingen (SO). Here, Jean-Pierre Ruhoff, Managing Director of Ruhoff-Informatik, talks about the collaboration with Xelon.
In November 2020, Xelon entered into a far-reaching innovation partnership with leading Swiss data center and cloud provider Green. The cooperation facilitates the use of public cloud services for companies of all sizes. As a proven IaaS specialist, Xelon was able to further simplify the operation of IT infrastructure for IT service providers, SysAdmins, and software developers.
Ruhoff-Informatik GmbH, based in Härkingen (SO), is one of the IT companies whose infrastructure is now managed by Xelon. "Around 20 percent of our customer infrastructures are located in virtual data centers, with an upward trend. After Green and Xelon entered into the innovation partnership, it was important for us to be able to work directly with Xelon. We got to know Xelon as a dynamic company and decided to migrate customer infrastructures to the Xelon HQ cloud orchestration platform," explains Jean-Pierre Ruhoff, Managing Director of Ruhoff-Informatik GmbH.
«The migrations were extremely relaxed thanks to the good preparation»
What has changed for Ruhoff-Informatik since Xelon started taking care of IT infrastructures for Ruhoff's customers? "Implementing infrastructure projects has become even easier. Collaboration with Xelon is going so well that I can't even spontaneously think of what could be 'exciting' about our partnership," says Jean-Pierre Ruhoff. The CEO of Ruhoff-Informatik appreciates that processes are clearly defined and that his company has a direct line to Xelon's tech team. "We are all technicians and speak the same language. This allowed us to prepare the migrations well and the projects ran extremely relaxed."
Xelon's mission is to simplify IT infrastructure management and help IT operations teams gain speed and efficiency. "Our strength is serving customers on the front lines and answering their IT questions. Knowing that our IT infrastructures are in good hands with Xelon, we can once again focus more on our core business - system, process, and customer support as well as consulting," says Jean-Pierre Ruhoff. In the coming months, more customer infrastructures will be migrated to Xelon HQ. "After that, we'll see how the journey continues. I can well imagine working more closely with Xelon in the future," concludes Jean-Pierre Ruhoff.
