The duration for a DNS information change varies. DNS information is temporarily stored by the providers. It can take up to 24 hours until changed DNS information is completely published on the Internet.
This is due to the decentralized structure of the Domain Name System (DNS). The name servers are registered with the registry immediately after the update. However, the exchange between the name servers can take up to 24 hours, as mentioned above. The time depends on the TTL (Time To Live) of the entry, which defines the validity of the entry in the DNS before it has to be queried again.
In rare cases, especially with larger TTL, it can take up to 72 hours.
